My Drone Adventure is excited about the use of commercial drones in the drone industry. The industries are becoming endless for drone use, and are being utilized in so many industries such as aerial surveying, competitive intelligence, conservation, environmental regulation and compliance, delivery, disaster relief, feature filmaking, low altitude banner advertising, news footage, pipeline and electrical line inspection, precision agriculture, real estate videos, resort and hotel advertising, seach and rescue, security, sports and events videography, structural inspection and construction site data, surveillance and private investigation, wedding videos, and insurance adjustment.   The potential is exponential for more growth in the years to come while producing more jobs in the aviation industry. The FAA regulations regarding the use of a drone for financial gain/business purposes are quite different that hobby use. Commercial operators must first establish standards and requirements for the operator and pilot of a civil unmanned aircraft system, including standards and requirements for registration and licensing. The second step is to develop certification standards and air traffic requirements for unmanned flight operations at test ranges. Then the operator must provide for verification of the safety of unmanned aircraft systems and related navigation procedures before integration into the national airspace system. A plan must be developed to initiate a process to work with relevant Federal agencies and national and international communities to designate permanent areas in the Arctic where small-unmanned aircraft may operate 24 hours per day for research and commercial purposes. The plan for operations in these permanent areas shall include the development of processes to facilitate the safe operation of unmanned aircraft beyond line of sight. Such areas shall enable over-water flights from the surface to at least 2,000 feet in altitude, with ingress and egress routes from selected coastal launch sites.

These standards are a requirement of anyone using a drone for commercial purpose’s, which must receive certification of section 333. It's important to know how drones are utilized in the different commercial areas. The increasing use of drones for photogrammetry and lidar mapping in aerial surveys is not surprising.  Using GPS enabled drones for aerial surveying is cost effective rather than hiring a pilot with an aircraft with photogrammetry equipment.  Because drones are inexpensive, many surveying businesses will have their own armada, allowing for quick surveys over immense land areas where required with GPS-equipped drones, digital cameras and powerful computers, which survey with precision down to 1 to 2 cm.  The next area on our list is completive intelligence.  It is the action of describing, receiving, surveying, and disbursing intelligence about commodities, patrons, opposition, and any part of the surroundings that is needed to support the CEO and managers making calculated decisions for a company.  Photos from above from aerial vehicles have been used for a long time to collect information on competitors as descried above. This information can now be provided utilizing drones due to its low cost in comparison to the helicopters and other aerial vehicles that are a huge expense for companies. Drones are also used for deliver of different products such as pizza’s, parcels, and even mail. If items that are to be delivered and start close enough to consumers the drones can deliver them within 30 minutes, because it costs more to use the UPS or mail truck to deliver them it becomes more cost effective to utilized the drones. Filmmakers are finding that a drone is capable of carrying movie quality video cameras, which can be a less expensive and more versatile option than cranes, dollies and helicopters in order to get the perfect movement shots with the camera. The movie industry is extremely excited to get in on aerial cinematography with drones. The FAA is currently considering a request from cinema and television producers to let them use drones to shoot aerial video. The media to report the news uses drones. There have been instances in which drones have been used to document and provide footage from places that have fighting, warfare, tragedy and disaster. Drones provide the media with a safe distance from otherwise hazardous conditions. A camera operator can often be located far away from the scene of a dangerous situation. This can also less expense than a commercially piloted helicopter. Using drones in agriculture and crop observation can lower the time and cost of using commercially piloted helicopter and necessitate moving up and down the fields. These drones are equipped with cameras that have the ability of capturing infrared video; with a drone operator they are able to see colors that appear different, which indicates the overall health of crops in the field. This way if the farmer has any areas of the farm that he/she is concerned about it can be monitored much closer using the drone for inspection of the problem and a diagnosis can be attended to as soon as possible. Farmers that use the drone for crops under surveillance in order to attend to crops that require more attention, in order to reduce plant damage and lower the costs, which can yield a positive outcome for everyone. There is no better way to draw attention to a breathtaking hotel located on a wonderful segment of property than to yield to probable customers the kind of video footage and photography that only a drone can provide. During a period when there are so many hotels and resorts to choose from and there is a need for one to stand out from the other. In order for the hotels and resorts to stand out then they need to have advertising impressions. Marketing agencies understand that unprecedented video that only a drone’s perspective can provide is the type of advantage that the marketing industry needs because of how saturated the market is with bland video and photography.  Another area that drones are used in commercial areas is security. Drones area being used to Record guarded locations and secure areas from trespassers that look to obtain and vital information. Businesses are finding that it is cost effective to hire one security guard with a drone that could rapidly protect a larger region than to hire 5 or 6 security guards that would be required to protect certain areas properly in order to be distributed throughout the property. These drones are also used for structural inspection and construction site data, news footage and search and rescue in emergency situations. Several types of drones with (FPV) first person view can transmit a live broadcast back to a receiver in order to allow the police department, fire department, medical services, media, insurance agencies and structural engineers to survey the damage to the area in order to act quickly and easily in order to reach survivor’s, extinguish any active fires, control the situation to limit the amount of civilians to occupy the area, allow information to be provided to friend’s and family in real time, obtain a damage assessment in order to assist families faster than usual with financial assistance and to assess damage and structural integrity of bridges/highway. As you can observe there are several ways that drones are utilized for commercial purposes this why at My Drone Adventure, we believe in providing the most advanced technology in order for all these areas of commercial use can perform these activities with ease so that are communities and families are safe.
